Why should I get pre-approved for a loan?

Applying for a loan before you need it ensures that you will be shopping within your budget. So, if you want to buy a $25,000 car, a pre-approved loan will mean you can go shopping with the confidence that you can borrow enough to buy the car.

Simply complete a loan application as if you had already chosen your purchase, and then you and the credit union will be ready to finish the loan quickly when the time comes. Prepare first, shop second. Always the best approach.

His story

After every big-name bank he could think of said “no,” Mitch suggested son Bailey ask the folks at 1st Cooperative for a loan to buy his first truck and build a good credit history. Bailey got his loan. Soon, his dad needed a new truck, too. Within two hours on a Friday afternoon, Mitch was pulling out of the dealership. “I think they’ve got superpowers,” said Mitch. “They are a true blessing from God.”
